Here are some tips for before and after your Reiki session:
Before the session, if you are having a distance treatment I would recommend preparing the space you are going to be in, you may want to light candles, burn incense or put on relaxing music. In essence prepare the space in whatever way you can to feel the most relaxed.
During the session relax as much as you can, just pay attention to the inflow and outflow of your breath and not your thoughts, if thoughts do come up just notice them and let them go, coming back to your breath each time. You may feel sensations in your body, emotions may surface, again just notice them, most people just feel deeply relaxed and simply fall asleep. Some clients actually set an alarm for 40 minutes just incase!
After the session we will have a chat and you can raise anything you wish that came up for you, thoughts, sensations, feelings or emotions. Its best to take a few minutes and pause before going back about your day to day and remember to keep yourself hydrated.
